Stop hagglin God wiv ur wishlist.......

....I declare, ooops, refuse to be sick!
....I declare that success is MINE!
....I speak prosperity into my life!
....I cannot lack!

Ok........ imagine hearing that everyday!!???????
i mean plzzzzzzzzz, take a breather and think!!!!

Who d hell are you to declare, refuse n disallow???
You are a mere man saved by the grace and mercy of God,
you couldn't even handle choosing God by yourself, faith in Him was another gift bestowed due to his mercy and here you go thinking your positive confession can determine your destiny!

"We pray brethren, casting our cares upon the Lord,
We trust brethren, cos the arms of flesh(ours inclusive) will always fail,
We lean brethren, not depending on our own understanding,
We rely brethren, cos His grace is sufficient,
We hope brethren, cos this present SUFFERINGS cannot be compared to the
glory that is to come......."

Our wishlists influenced by wrong thinking and messages should be torn away from our minds, to be replaced with trust in the One who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of His own will.....

  1. I believe when we refuse, declare, speak and command, it is because, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me". Did He not say, "calling those things that be not, as though they were." Romans 4:17.

  2. Mark 11:22-23,the bible tells us to speak to the mountain if we have faith and it will move if we doubt not.Rom4:17,abraham called things into existence, that were not.To refuse to be sick is not bossing God around, rather its taking Him at His Word.

  3. There is absolutely nothing wrong in declaring the word of God... The bible says life and death are in the tongue, the tongue is powerful and can be used to chart the course of your life. The bible says by his stripes i am healed not i will be healed therefore i can declare that healing on my life.

It is with our words that we become who God wants us to be, don't ever think God gets tired of hearing us pray, he only gets disappointed when we do not use the authority he has given us. We keep begging him for things he has already given us... dats y he said my pple perish because they lack knowledge.

Don't limit urself dear, declare ur blessing upon ur life today... I am blessed, Everything is working out for my good, I have good health, i am a success, everything i lay my hands on is prospering, I can do all things.... the thing about declaring is to ensure that ur declarations are in accordance with the WORD OF GOD. Try it, when you say things over and over again, you find yourself living in your words, u see the word come alive in you and you will see the hand of God in your life everyday.

Even the devil uses this weapon, if he can get u to keep thinking and declaring negative things about yourself, he has successfully trapped you in the abyss of death and such people always see life from a defeated perspective.

Busola... i DARE you to say what you want to become every morning according to the word of God and you will see the difference it will make.

    Goodmorning dear.

  4. Yeah the bible says a lot of things, in which if its not read in the right context can lead one to error.
When Paul said he could do all things, did he mean he could create/change circumstances or that no matter the situation (lack or abundance) he could bear it with the Lord's Strength.

Also from Rom 4:17 comes another misconception held by a lot of people but if read in context we'll understand its meaning and whom the scripture was referring to.

"as it is written, “I have made you the father of many nations”—IN THE PRESENCE OF THE GOD in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist."

If you read the next verse, you'll find that Abraham trusted in the Lord and didn't doubt the promise of God, You see, if Abraham could have called the things that be not into existence, he wouldn't hope or wait on God's promise.

Same goes for Mark 11: 22-23
"Jesus answered them, ‘Have FAITH IN GOD. 23Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, “Be taken up and thrown into the sea”, and if you do not doubt in your heart, but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you. 24So I tell you, whatever you ASK FOR in prayer, believe that you have received* it, and it will be yours."

The above scripture does not negate trusting and relying on the Lord for our needs rather it negates the idealism of trusting on our words, believing that once we keep on speaking we can create circumstances into existence.

We ask in the place of prayer, its our faith and our trust in the Lord that directs us to the Father in the first place. There's nothing wrong with taking God at his word, but its the gradual turn from relying on him to building our everyday words into God-like sayings that scares me cos before we know it, he'll be permanently erased from our mind, thoughts and actions.......something that seems the norm nowadays :o(

  5. @ tweety
    thanx dear.
I know the tongue is powerful but the part i don't believe is it being able to chart the course of one's life, its just too absolute for my liking.

Proverbs 18 indeed has a lot to say about one's mouth. vrs 4 says "the words of the mouth are deep waters" vrs 6 says " a fools lips brings strife, his mouth invites flogging" and so on....all statements that implies the effect of our words on our fellow men.

Eph 5:4 says more "Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks." this scripture leans more to the moral parts of the xtian walk.

James 3:1-13 says "Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers and sisters, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. For all of us make many mistakes. Anyone who makes no mistakes in speaking is perfect, able to keep the whole body in check with a bridle. If we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we guide their whole bodies. Or look at ships: though they are so large that it takes strong winds to drive them, yet they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great exploits.

How great a forest is set ablaze by a small fire! And the tongue is a fire. The tongue is placed among our members as a world of iniquity; it stains the whole body, sets on fire the cycle of nature, and is itself set on fire by hell. For every species of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by the human species, but no one can tame the tongue—a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse those who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this ought not to be so. Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and brackish water? Can a fig tree, my brothers and sisters, yield olives, or a grapevine figs? No more can salt water yield fresh.
Who is wise and understanding among you? Show by your good life that your works are done with gentleness born of wisdom."

In the 2 new testament books quoted above, Christians are instructed directly to caution their mouth, James is more specific; he says with it we bless and curse.
So indeed the words of our mouth are important cos they reveal who we are and should be an aspect to be worked on as we progress in our xtian walk.

But charting the course of our life, creating circumstances, that i dont know about.....
And on a lighter note, what if you'r dumb, how do u go about it? like i always say, with God its 100%, if it cant guarantee results 100% of the time, with everyone den its faulty.

    Cheers

  6. @Busola u said-"charting the course of our life,creating crcumstances,that i dont know about"-Its obvious U DONT KNOW.
U misquote Rom4:17,and simply arrived at a preconcieved conclusion. The Issue of it being done in the Presence of God is not in dispute, the fact that its done is what we refer to here.Abram,a childless man calling himself Abraham is no doubt calling things dat be not,not considering the weakness of his body nor sarah's womb is speaking things that didnt exist.
Jesus taught a simple law and u twist it!Mark11:22-23 is very clear.hence it ends with U shall have what U SAY!any clues?Check other references like MATHHEW 21:21,If u have faith and doubt not..u will say to this mountain,i.e with faith in God or faith from God,u will say to problems and command an action.Anoda refernce in Mathew 17:21,has the same principle.say to this mountain,i guess u are not taking Jesus seriously sister.
The Woman with the issue of blood(Mrk5:23-34).a woman comes to Jesus believing and speaking an end,i.e if i touch the hem of his garments i will be made whole,Jesus didnt ask her to,yet she was in faith and recieved,Jesus said"your faith hath made u whole".hope dats clear
The children of isreal missed the promised land by words of doubt and unbelief, need to say dat fear, faith&unbelief are all expressed in words.Heb4:2/Numbers13&14-God said in verse 28,as ye have SPOKEN in my ears,so will i do to u,verse 29&30 explains this, only exempting caleb and joshua.God dint "ban" them from the promised land,he gave them the rest, they refused it with unbelief, thru words, caleb and joshua had another spirit ,whiich is faith and expressed it in words.
Again,in Proverbs 18:21,is so clear u twist it,they dat love the power of the tongue, which is words shall eat its fruit, verse 20 says a man shall be filled and blessed with fruit of his mouth.U eat from ur words sister.
While i guess u are trying to flaw those who teach faith&confession besides it done according to the word,u approach is highily i equally flawed as u are speaking from an arrived answer which shows in ur poor appraisal of the ENTIRE counsel of God's Word.
Then ur lighter note is a joke right?"With God its 100%,if it cant gurantee results 100% of the time, with every one its faultly"The integrity of God's Word is not proven as so with our experiences,2Tim2:13-His Word remins faithfull, even in our unbelief.

    Blessings

  7. Finally!!!! it seems we've gotten to the same page.....
its God's word that has integrity not man's word and for man's word to hold water,it must be aligned to God's word right?

So then man cannot and does not have the power outside of God's sovereign power "to say to problems and command an action"

My point is this: what commands the action??? God or Man. If it is God, then we know that whatever it is we say is subject to his will, but if its man, then lies the error.

The woman with the issue of blood, what exactly guaranteed her healing, was it faith in her words or faith in the physical presence of Jesus whom she believed was a healer?

Is doubt only in effect when it is said and is speaking the only action its expressed by?

Of course, I am aware that positive thinking does one good but to single it out, same as singling out positive speaking will take your eyes off relying on God.
A repetition of words is not prayer......

And my lighter note still remains "what would you do if you were dumb????????????".....lollll
